Thriller Research Survey Results

The following are the results for the survey we conducted. The survey was constructed on Survey Monkey and in order to get a wide variety of feedback, the link was pasted on Twitter. This was very succesfull as a large sample participated.

Question 1: Which of the following setting would you prefer? Abroad or Locally?

Question 2: How long should the opening be? 1 minute and a half or 2 minutes?

Question 3:What kind of music would you expect or like to hear in a thriller? Instumental, Fantasy, Rock, R'n'B or Pop?

Question 4: What kind of editing techniques would you expect a thriller to have? Shot reverse shot, Match on action or Jump cuts?

Question 5:Would you enjoy a thriller that had bright, vibrant colour or one that was more low key, greyscale looking?


Question 6: Would you expect there to be a main character or main character(s)?

Question 7:Would you prefer the narrative to have enigma to the point of being mind boggling?

Question 8: Would you find it interesting if the story had an underlying message, moral or foreshadow of a warning to society?

This was the only question that was left open and so there was quite a variety of results.The most repeated responses are included in the results.
Question 9: What kind of things and announcements do you think should be included in a thriller?

Question 10: Would you like the majority of the film to be unrealistic and based on fantasy?
